Richa Pokhrel

During her undergraduate education at the University of Iowa, Richa Pokhrel studied two full terms in London, England.  After graduating from the University of Iowa, she lived in rural Japan as an English teacher before moving on to Nepal to work for a health non-profit organization. As a graduate student, Richa studied International Development at the Graduate School of Public & International Affairs (GSPIA) at the University of Pittsburgh. During the summer of 2010, she interned at VIH where she contributed to the construction of the original VIH website. Richa also enjoyed assisting at the annual fall retreat where she not only shared her experiences abroad but also met other motivated young women who had done the same. Besides traveling, she likes to bake, hike, and learn about new cultures.
