Her classes allowed her the opportunity to meet students from all over the world as well as to explore sites such as Parliament, the Shakespeare Globe, Tower of London, churches and buildings that were important to British life. Over the course of eight weeks, Tiffany had the opportunity to make friends with her classmates and travel with them over the weekend to places like Windsor, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Bath and Dublin, Ireland. She still keeps in contact with her friends as well some staff members.

Community Engagement Experience Summary:

CEE Title: Inter-generational Cultural Tea Party

For her CEE, Tiffany organized an Inter-Generational Cultural Tea Party, to demonstrate to the Bethany community about the cultural connections that can be made through tea. This event was designed to bridge the gap between the student and elderly populations who are living in Bethany. Aside from providing refreshments for guests, there was a speaker from Japan as well as a talent show that included songs and skits performed by members of the local community.
