Taking Care of Your Mental Health 

It is important that we find ways to take care of our mental health and well-being throughout our busy lives. No one strategy or way will work for everyone and it is important to discover what makes you feel mentally happy and healthy. Below are some of the ways you might take care of your mental health. Screening for mental health: A way to manage and work through one's mental health is getting a screening. Similar to screening for one's physical health, screening can be beneficial in receiving the proper medical care needed. Help yourself. Help others. is an online mental health self-assessment to help take the first steps in understanding yourself and your needs. 

Practicing self-care: Self-care can look different for everyone! Someone may choose to go for a 5-mile run, while someone else may choose to knit. There is no right or wrong way to practice self-care, what matters is what makes you feel your best. Below are a few examples of practicing self-care: 

- Engaging in something creative: painting, music, craft making 

-  Exploring nature or spending time in nature 

- Moving your body when able 

- Spending quality time with loved ones and/or spending quality time with yourself 

- Getting resting or taking naps

End the stigma! Talk about Mental Health & Wellness: One of the best ways to tackle mental health is together! Working together to end the stigma around mental health helps to bring awareness to the resources and support.
